There’s no mystery that Victor Olofsson has had an up-and-down career with the Buffalo Sabres. Olofsson was drafted by Buffalo within the 7th round (181st generally) within the 2014 NHL Draft. After playing some seasons within the Swedish Hockey Alliance, the forward marked an entry-level contract with the Sabres in April of 2018.
At the time, Buffalo fans were energized almost the marking. He had a deadly shot and was a really great skater, which gave the Sabers another hostile weapon nearby Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart. Amid the 2018/2019 season, Olofsson played most of the year with the Rochester Americans where he scored 30 objectives.
But ever since he came up to play on the Sabers, Victor did not live up to the desires. As a result, it appears like Olofsson will not be coming back this offseason.
Within the tweet over, it appears just like the Swedish forward will see to play somewhere else. Olofsson was due for a unused contract and it appears like he will get one but not from Buffalo. Truly, this was a long time coming. Other than final year where he scored 28 objectives, it fair appeared like Victor and the Sabers were not the proper coordinate.
This season was an all-time disillusionment as he as it were scored seven goals and registered eight helps in 51 diversions played. Presently it’s not all his blame but it was time to move on in my opinion. His title has been within the discussions of exchange talks for the longest time.
It’s truly sad. Olofsson had so much potential coming into the NHL. But for anything reason, it wasn’t a great run in Buffalo. Aside from this year, he was conflicting. He would score some objectives but at that point went the longest time not scoring.
It’ll be curiously to see where he closes up and how he performs but it looks like his time with the Sabres has come to an conclusion.
