The 34-year-old captain has collected 17 points and 89 penalty minutes in 48 games this season with the Condors .

Malone is the longest-serving captain in Condors franchise history, having captained the team for the past four years. In seven seasons in Bakersfield, Malone scored 187 points in 315 games. Malone also spent time with the Lake Erie Monsters and the Hershey Bears. In 551 games in the AHL, he scored 104 goals and 290 points.

 

 

Malone also had stints with the Edmonton Oilers and recently appeared in 10 games with the club during the season 2022-23 tournament. He has a goal and an assist in eight games during his tenure with Edmonton in 2021-22.

The Miramichi, New Brunswick product was initially selected at No. 1 105 overall in the 2007 NHL Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. Malone spent four seasons with the University of North Dakota in the NCAA before turning professional and making his NHL debut in the 2011-12 season. Malone spent three years in Colorado before coming to Carolina in 2014-15 and finding a full-time role with the Hurricanes for two seasons. In 217 NHL games, Malone has 14 goals, 32 points and 206 penalty minutes in nine seasons with the Avalanche, Hurricanes and Oilers.
